What Are Extended Weapon Mods?

Extended weapon mods are great additions to any character regardless of how they came about their mod. I decided to create this guide to help people decide if these types of mods are right for them or maybe even better after having made up their mind. I'll list some basic information about what they are and then I'll explain why I think they are a good choice to add to your game. After reading this article you should have enough information to make an informed decision on what type of weapon mods you might want to look into.

Extended weapon mods are mods that are made to extend the characteristics of existing weapons, to give them an extra benefit for use in combat. For example, a pack of absolutely new weapon mods which converts a 10mm pistol to a sniper rifle would be great for using in close quarters and would really help when you need to take out groups of opponents, because your sniper rifle won't be able to do much damage at range. Similarly, another example would be using an AAR pack of ammo, with its longer range than regular ammo, and then converting it to a laser gun, for close quarter kills. This pack of ammo, which is made for Fallout 4 also comes with a pack of completely new weapon mods that will help you increase your AP in all the combat skills too.

The downside of using extended weapon mods is that they cost money to craft and are more expensive than their regular counterparts. They aren't available for purchase on the Bethesda store, but fortunately you can find a lot of them on the internet. If you want a really complete experience then I recommend going for the custom made packs which are created by the users who created the weapons in the game. Some of these packs are so good that I've personally managed to get one to level 100, while using only one item! This was because I was able to buy the item from an internet shop and then craft it to perfection, meaning that I could then use its upgrades at a later time.
